Welcher Desktop ist stabiler unter freeBSD

pit234a, danke für Deine informative Aufklärung, das alles ist sehr interessant und ich denke fast, das ich in den letzten 10 Tagen mehr hinzugelernt habe als wie zuvor in einigen Jahren mit Linux.

Mir ist ein fürchterliches Mißgeschick widerfahren, was der Aufklärung bedarf. Natürlich arbeite ich nicht mehr mit einem Pentium 3, sondern als ich diesen Code von h^2 ausprobierte:

dmesg | awk 'NR == 5 || NR == 8 || NR == 15 { print $0 }'

habe ich dann meinen Irrtum bemerkt, denn er ergab dann folgendes:

Das ist mir auch noch nie passiert, aber die Begeisterung über freeBSD überlagerte wohl alles. Und natürlich kenne ich meine Hardware genau, es war schlichtweg ein Schreibfehler. Hätte ich noch ein P3, dann würde ich mir auch Gedanken für eine Neuanschaffung machen, so aber leistet mir mein Pentium 4 mit 3 GHZ noch gute Dienste und ich komme ich noch ganz gut zurecht.
