USB-Maus friert nach einigen Stunden Betrieb ein.

Moin, mein Problem: Nach ca. 8-9h Rechnerbetrieb bockt die USB-Maus. Das System friert nicht direkt ein aber es macht Zicken. Bei KDE bleibt die Maus komplett stehen, bei fluxbox geht die linke Taste nicht mehr. Eine andere Maus hilft auch nicht.
Das System ist ein aktuelles 5.4er FreeBSD, ACPI disabled. Unter Linux gings.

Nicht das ich eine Loesung parat haette, aber ich wuerde davon abraten, die eingefrorene Maus anzufassen, wegen der Kaelte. ;)
 
Diese Fehlermeldungen habe ich auch. Jedoch funktioniert meine Maus (Logitech MX 510) ohne Probleme an USB. Die Meldungen scheinen mir eher mit der Grafikkarte zusammenzuhängen. Hab' ne Geforce 4 Ti 4800SE. Habe mir da aber keine Gedanken zu gemacht...
 
Austausch der Karte, Maus oder so ist einfach nicht drin. Die zwote Netzwerkkarte wird eigentlich auch gebraucht. Ist normal, das bei FreeBSD USB-Mäuse, die mit diesem USB-PS2-Adapter angeklemmt sind, nicht großartig funktionieren, oder?

bscheidene Frage: Hat Dein Motherboard einen PS/2-Anschluß? Da schließe die PS/2-Maus doch da an und achte mal darauf, ob die Maus sauber funktioniert.

Irgendwann hab ich mal eine PS2-Maus während des Betriebs abgezogen, das war?s dann mit PS2 unter FreeBSD auf der Kiste. Unter Linux getestet, kein Problem - da geht?s (PS2 und USB), aber unter FBSD hab ich nie wieder eine PS2-Maus zum laufen gekriegt. Muss an der kosmischen Hintergrundstrahlung oder son Scheiss liegen.

Hat nur Probleme gemacht, zweite Netzwerkkarte war nicht nutzbar.
Jetzt hab ich die zwar rausgeschmissen und ACPI enabled aber das bringt auch nix.

Wie krieg ich den Output vom Verbose Mode in ein Textfile, ist das ein erweitertes dmesg? Damit hab ich noch nicht rumgespielt.

Andersrum wäre es aber mal eine Idee, daß man alle Ports deaktiviert, die man nicht braucht. Die IRQs kann das System dann anderweitig verwenden.

Was das BIOS betrifft, da hab? ich auch schon rumgefriemelt, aktuell hab ich ihm erzählt, es soll am besten garnix machen.

Na also, da haben wir den Salat doch schon. Jetzt ist googlen angesagt. Sieht nach einem Problem mit dem Mainboard/Chipsatz (VIA Apollo, hmm...) aus, allerdings habe ich jetzt nicht wirklich intensiv recherchiert.
 
Hey 0815Chaot, herzlichen Dank für den Hinweis, die Googlesuche nach dem Fehler hat mich derart genervt, das ich die vierte Maus mit PS2-Adapter probiert habe, läuft. Yeah. Um das klarzustellen: ich habs mit ner frischen, puren PS2-Maus probiert, nix. Dann kam eine USB-Maus mit Adapter (MS), wieder nix. Dann kam sogar mal ein Trackball dran aber das Ding sah aus wie ein NASA-Shuttle. Unter Linux gingen die Teile allerdings (bis auf das Shuttle).
