xorg.conf - Problem

Hallo,

ich bin dabei, auf OpenBSD umzusteigen. Habe Probleme, den X-Server zu starten.

Es kommt keine Fehlermeldung, einzig eine Meldung von meinem TFT (L1950SQ), dass das Bild außerhalb des Frequenzbereiches liege. Dabei habe ich die Werte, die ich in die xorg.conf eingetragen habe, dem Handbuch entnommen.

Habe schon etliche Bereiche ausprobiert, leider immer das gleiche Ergebnis.

Kann mir da eventuell jemand bei helfen?

Hallo speedy, willkommen im Forum :)

Setzte doch die VertRefresh auf 58 - 62. 60Hz ist ja die Standardfrequenz von LCDs, dein LCD mag wohl bis 75Hz darstellen, sinnvoll ist es in meinen Augen jedoch nicht.

Was sagt die Log-Dateien unter /var/log?

hast du mal versuch eine xorg.conf automatisch generieren zu lassen ?

#Xorg -configure
oder mal ein #xorgcfg versucht, ob du überhaupt ein X display bekommst.

und es sollte auch noch die variable gesetzt werden : machdep.allowaperture=1 (in die /etc/sysctl.conf)

Ich ahbe die Config-Datei zuerst mit xorfconfig erstellt, aber als dies genausowenig klappte, habe ich es teilwiese manuell abgeaendert.

Laß das HorizSync weg und gib vertikal wie schon gesagt 58-62 ein.

Dazu die Displaygröße, meiner (19", ohne Handbuch) lief auf Anhieb so:

Das ist der richtige Treiber für Deine Grafikkarte? Nicht vielleicht "nvidia"? Kannste mal pasten, welche Karte Du nutzt?

Und haste es mal mit 'ner anderen Auflösung versucht? Obwohlich Deinem Log entnehme, dass da mehr oder weniger keine funktioniert:confused: .

Der vesa-treiber kann aber afaik nicht über 1024x768 ... mein vorschlag:

Die beiden horz und vert. rausnehmen, 1024x768 nehmen, erst einmal mit den nv treiber testen, wenn das auch nicht geht mal den vesa treiber testen.

Sollte es beim 1024x768 ohne die werte gehen, musst du mit allen 3 werten entweder mal explizit nach deinem Bildschrim suchen, oder einfach ein bisschen rumtesten.
Wenns mit dem nv treiber auch nicht geht, aber mit dem vesa, liegt das problem woanders.
