Hallo,
ich habe gestern bei einem alten PC das schon etwas angeschlagene i915 Board (FSC Scenic) gegen ein i945 (FSC Esprimo) Board getauscht und dabei auch gleich den Prozessor von Pentium 4 auf Pentium D (echter Dual Core) upgegradet.
Da in dem Ding sechs Platten verbaut sind ist es immer einiges Gefummel mit den Bios Einstellungen, bis das überhaupt mal von den richtigen Platten bootet. Hat aber geklappt.
Hier mal die grobe Konfiguration:
2 identische Platten mit vielen Partitionen für die Systeme (Debian und FreeBSD), dabei alle System- und Datenpartitionen als verschlüsselte Raid 1, an einem PCIe SATA Controller.
2 identische Platten für Debian Daten, verschlüsselt, Raid 1, am onboard SATA Controller.
2 identische Platten für Windows, verschlüsselt, kein Raid (Windows ist zu blöd für Bitlocker+Spiegelung, entweder//oder), am onboard IDE Controller.
Das funktionierte all die Jahre prima, und funktioniert prinzipiell auch jetzt wieder.
Nur dass FreeBSD beim Booten plötzlich eine halbe Minute braucht um seine GEOM_MIRROR Raids zusammenzubauen. Vorher ging das ratzfatz ohne jede Verzögerung.
Ich habe den dmesg Output unten mal drangehängt und mit ########## markiert, wo es hängt.
Ausser dem Board und dem Prozessor sind alle Komponenten wie vorher.
Warum braucht GEOM_MIRROR plötzlich so lange? Wenn es dann nach ca. 30 Sekunden weitergeht läuft das System ganz normal, alle Raids sind da.
Ich könnte mir vorstellen dass das neuere Bios (ist aber fast identisch zum alten) die Reihenfolge der Platten irgendwie anders hat, habe es aber nicht hinbekommen, durch umstecken irgendeine Verbesserung zu erreichen.
Debian läuft einwandfrei, und was Windows 10 nach einem Boardwechsel machen will treibt mir echt die Zornesröte ins Gesicht...
