    yes, I already noticed that no one cares: my problem is that I have such partitions with data in them AND no CD in my computer, so I have to open it and connect an IDE cable to a CD every time the umount goes wrong :(((( strange guys, these BSD freeks.

    I wouldn't know how could I have mixed them, since I did not install from cvs, but from the iso, and make a standard install. I now copied the ext2 partition to other partitions, erased it and made a new native bsd one instead. Currently I am trying to copy the files back to it... I...

    At the moment I can not export my ext2 mounted directories. I did find some threads about that, but they were from 2002 ! my freeBSD is 5.3... Any experiance there? Cheers, Ron

    Hi, I use a mounted ext3 partition on my freeBSD 5.3. after I reboot it, it seemed to have uncleanly mounted it. why? :-/ ok, so I tried fsck - and had to use pretty much acrobatics (ssh to suse, installing lynx, downloading e2progs ...). ok. so I used parts to install these ext2...

    can not export per nfsd

    Ok - problem ressolved - 1) mountd_enable=YES in rc.conf was missing. 2) tried to mount a simlink (always look at the logs... ) Cheers, Ron

    can not export per nfsd

    Hi, Trying to export my /home/ron per nfsd, (/etc/exports is like: /home/ron 192.168.1.3 when calling "showmount -e" I get an empty list. Anybody know why? Cheers, Ron
