hallo,
ich versuche jetzt seit zwei tagen meinen epson stylus color 900 zum _schön_ drucken zu überreden, bis jetzt leider erfolglos.
hab' mich schon fleissig sowohl durch die freebsd dokumentation (printing) also auch cups wiki hier durchgekämpft.
hab' jetzt alles auf lpd basis laufen und alles passt (alle tests ok).
hab' nebenbei mal kurz cups angetestet, dann ist aber gar nix mehr gegangen, also wieder runter und mit lpd passt alles bis auf die miese druckqualität.
frage 1: brauche ich unbedingt cups, um statt mit 360dpi mit 720dpi drucken zu können?
zusatz frage ^^: wenn ja, was soll ich bei lpd uri eintragen?
frage 2: reicht dafür (also mehr dpi) nicht theoretisch auch nur apsfilter
# lpr -P lp -C high gnomelist
aber ich merke überhaupt keine verbesserung, also ich glaube die option "-C high" greift irgendwie nicht.
der drucker ist klassisch an der parallelen schnittstelle angeschlossen.
edit: bin gerade über das SETUP script in /usr/local/share/apsfilter/ gesolpert.
gleich mal ausgeführt und siehe da, man kann da theoretisch die print resolution einstellen, aber leider steht kein treiber für meinen drucker zu auswahl:
