Install Probleme bei freeBSD 5.0

Hallo zusammen!

Ich wollte FreeBSD 5.0 auf meinen Laptop installieren, komme aber nicht einmal ins Installationsprogramm. Ähnliche(?) Probleme bei openBSD 3.3 (da funktionierts aber bei jeden zweitenmal) Ich vermute das die Probleme bei den Verschiedenen OS auf das gleiche Problem beruhen.
acpi ist auf Null gesetzt (bei freeBSD 5.0: set hint.acpi.0.disabled=1)

also uhci0 hoert sich nach dem USB Roothub an.
Gut waere zu wissen was das fuer ein Schleppi (Marke, Typ) das ist der die Zicken macht.

Startest du von einer CD oder wie machste das? Wenn ja könnte das auch am CD-ROM oder am Kabel liegen.

Ansonsten gib mal die genaue Produktbezeichnung an und versuch auch mal bei google dein Glück (Suchbegriff: FreeBSD+"Gericom x y z")

Ich empfehle ganz dringend, dir die 5.1er Installations-CD
zu holen. Da hat sich offenbar eine Menge getan.
