hat schon mal jemand unter 8.0-RC1 KDE installiert? Bei mir hagelt es Fehlermeldungen beim Start, mit pkg_add installieren klappte problemlos..

Ohne genauere Beschreibung des Fehlers geht hier nix. Du mußt uns schon die Fehlermeldung mitteilen, damit wir helfen können.
Die Glaskugel ist eh schon blank poliert, aber man sieht trotzdem immer noch nix.

Joa? Mir hatte vor kurzem das Setzen des Suchpfades geholfen. Immer dieses Voodoo...

Fehlermeldung nach dem aufruf von startkde:

dann kommen duzende Fehlermeldungen:

die beschriebene Fehlermeldung kam auf startkde, bei startx startkde kommt folgender Fehler:

also ich habe Sound geladen, das Device pcmX existiert, startx startkde bringt aber trotzdem die Fehlermeldung: First SDVOB output reported faildure to sync.

Da "startkde" zunächst startet, sollte das Verzeicnis in dem sich "startkde" befindet in PATH sein. Andernfalls käme ein "Command not found".

Laut google kommt das wohl vom Grafikchip bzw. dem Treiber (xf86-video-intel?). Wobei es auch Leute gibt bei denen alles trotz genau dieser Meldung funktioniert; nach einem upgrade des Treibers. Ist aber alles nur Spekulation und mangels passender Hardware kann ich nichts weiter dazu sagen.

es ist ein Fujitsu E5905 mit intel 945G mit onboard Grafik und Addon Karte für DVI Ausgang, wobei die Addon transparent sein sollte. Vielleicht stimmt auch nur die Auflösung nicht? Wie oder wo stelle ich das ein?

Das scheint schon mal ein problem zu sein, alerdings startet KDE trotzdem nicht :-(

Poste doch bitte mal /var/log/Xorg.0.log.
Schließe dazu aber den Monitor an die richtige Buchse an und keine Sonderfälle!

Fehler gefunden:

zum starten wir der Befehl: "kdm -nodaemon" verwendet, dann klappt auch alles.

aber eine Frage habe ich noch, ich starte mit dem Befehle "kdm -nodaemon" KDE3, ich habe aber auch KDE4 installiert, wie kann ich den starten?

Hallo Kira,

ich habe am Wochenende mal den KDE4 bei mir rauf laufen lassen (zum Test).

Ich kann den ganz normale über "startkde" starten. Wobei "startkde" unter /usr/local/kde4/bin liegt.
Prüfe mal deine $PATH ob die wirklich auf die richtige Datei verweist oder versuche direkt "/usr/local/kde4/bin/startkde" zu starten....

BTW ich habe kein KDM drauf
