Kein X bei Intel Iris Plus Graphics

Hallo zusammen,

bei meinem neuen Laptop versuche ich das X zum Laufen zu bekommen. Bisher leider erfolglos.

Auf dem Laptop sind die Pakete drm-kmod und xf86-driver-video-intel installiert. In der Datei /etc/rc.conf habe ich kld_list="/boot/modules/i915kms.ko" eingetragen.

Mein erster Versuch war startx. Er lieferte folgende Fehlermeldung "open /dev/dri/card0: No such file or directory"

Zweiter Versuch war Xorg -configure. Ich habe dann in der xorg.conf.new Datei in der Section Device den Driver auf modesetting gesetzt. Leider hat das auch nicht geklappt. Es kam wieder die gleiche Fehlermeldung, auch wenn die Konfiguration jetzt etwas anders war.

Habt ihr noch einen Tipp für mich?
 
Sicher das der Treiber fuer die Karte auch schon in linux 4.16 dabei ist?
Die Frage habe ich mir gerade auch gestellt und festgestellt, dass die Grafikkarte der Generation 11 ist und nicht in 4.16 enthalten ist. Ich versuche jetzt FBSD 13 zu nehmen. Dort soll bei drm-devel-kmod der neuere Linux Kernel 5.2 unterstützt werden, in der auch Ice Lake unterstützt wird. Mal schauen, ob es klappt.
