Hi!
Wenn ich DVD-Videos abspiele, ruckelt das Bild. Hab nach Googeln erfahren, dass das wohl an mangelnder Hardwarebeschleunigung der Graka liegt, was sich mit xvideo beheben liesse. Aber wenn ich mich nicht irre, unterstuetzt xvideo meinen Grafikchipsatz nicht (onboard gma 950) - xvinfo sagt "X-Video Extension version 2.2 / screen #0 / no adaptors present".

Welche Hardware hast du genau?
Welchen Player benutzt du (mit welchen einstellungen)?
Liegt die DVD im Laufwerk und ist verkratzt?
Is das nen Rip?
oder vielleicht nen Xvid/DivX (oder Gott bewahre ein wmv)?

Wenn du eine Intel graka hast, sollte Xvideo funzen, bei mplayer muss man dann das einstellen ("xv" glaube ich), bei mir is dann die CPU bei höchstens 5%.

In der xorg.conf muss auch der i810 driver drinne stehen, sonst is nich mit acceleration.
 
Ein
# dmesg
würde auch mal ganz nützlich sein. Spielst du die denn direkt von DVD ab? Es wäre möglich das einfach das DVD Laufwerk zu langsam angesprochen wird. Abhilfe könnte da DMA aktivieren für, schaffen.
 
Kauf-DVD in gutem Zustand, bisher mit kaffeine abgespielt (vlt nicht empfehlenswert ...). Core 2 Duo 1,83Ghz, 1GB RAM ...

Hmm, ich hab kein plan von dem KDE zeug...

Aber so ausm Bauch heraus:

Such doch in den Einstellungen nach "Direct Rendering" oder "Video Output" und da wählste dann xv ode Xvideo oder halt SDL oder so.
 
Mh, also das was ich jetzt vermutet habe ist es wohl nicht.
Vllt solltest du einfach mal vlc probieren, oder mplayer, wenn du auf die DVD Menus verzichten kannst. ;)

Zum Vergrößern anklicken....

Du brauchst für eine "ruckelfreie" DVD-Wiedergabe das Overlay der Graka. Alles andere ist nur was für Berufsoptimisten.
Dafür müßtest Du der Kiste aber schon beibringen, was für eine Graka das ist.
Dein Kernel findet nur ein VGA-Device.

Wenn Du mal in deine xorg.conf schielst, wirst Du dort vermutlich einen vesa Treiber finden.
Wie man dem Overlay beibringen kann, weiß ich leider nicht - würde mich aber auch interessieren. :p

deine grafikkarte hat 3d-beschleunigung unter freebsd. die solltest du aktivieren (dazu gibts viele threads und info im netz).
dann ists fast egal welches vidoeoutputmodul du wählst...

wenn 3d allerdings geht würde ich zum opengl modul raten..
