X Server startet nicht trotz Treiber nach Installation

Hallo Community,

ich bin neu bei FreeBSD und habe das System nach der Anleitung installiert ( https://docs.freebsd.org/de/books/handbook/x11/ )
Nun bin ich bei dem entsprechendem Kapitel, habe alles so abgearbeitet wie angegeben und bekam eine Fehlermeldung, dass es kein Modul für Intel bzw. nvidia gäbe.
1. So suchte ich den/die passenden Treiber - für nvidia gab es den für meine Karte, für meine eingebaute Intel-Grafikkarte habe ich ein Standart Treiber genommen (ich möchte die nvidia Grafikkarte benutzen).
2. änderte ich die /boot/loader.conf Datei, sodass der nvidia Treiber start

Doch trotz der Abarbeitung der vorherigen Fehlermeldungen, startet der X Server immer noch nicht.

Ich habe euch die Log-Datei des X.org Servers angehängt.

Noch ein paar Infos:

darf ich mal raten?? Hast Du in /etc/rc.conf folgendes beides eingetragen:

nvidia_name="nvidia"
nvidia_modeset="nvidia-modeset"

oder ein älterens Paket schon probiert:

pkg search nvidia-driver

Bisher hat Nvidia immer gut bei mir funktioniert, auch auf meinem Lenovo W530 :-) Von dem ich gerade schreibe...

Versuchs mal so und entferne den Eintrgag aus /boot/loader.conf wieder:

# pkg install xorg nvidia-driver nvidia-settings nvidia-xconfig
# kldload nvidia-modeset
# sysrc kld_list+=nvidia-modeset
 
Dann einmal als root nvidia-xconfig ausführen, danach sollte erstmal alles passen. Wenn das bereits meckert, dass keine Karte gefunden worden ist, klemmt noch was am Treiber.

ja, zum nachsehen. Weil ich auch noch immer eine kleine xorg.conf benutze und weil es wirklich beruhigend ist zu sehen, wenn die gleichen Dinge gefunden werden, die in meiner conf zu sehen sind.
Das Ergebnis direkt als neue xorg.conf zu nutzen, hat bei mir immer Probleme gemacht. Aber zum Nachsehen und für cp_n_paste ganz brauchbar.

danke für die vielen Rückmeldungen. Ich habe sie umgesetzt, jedoch funktioniert es immer noch nicht.
Wenn ich startx zeigt er nach ein paar Fehlermeldungen einmal einen schwarzen Bildschirm, anschließend gibt es die Fehlermeldung "no screens found" u.a., also wieder Text und Fehlermeldungen. Es scheint immer so, als ob er startet und dann doch der Start fehlschlägt.

Im Protokoll steht, ich hätte eine andere Grafikkarte - bei dem Auslesen wurde eine Art "Grafikkarten-Gruppe" angezeigt, sorry für die komische Wortwahl, das nennt sich bestimmt anders :-)

Vielleicht gibt es bei Deinem Laptop die Möglichkeit im Bios, NUR die NVIDIA Karte als die einzige "aktive" auszuwählen?! Ich hatte das damals auf meinem Lenovo W530 gemacht - seit dem geht es prima... :-) Ach, die Medung heisst, dass Du einen "älteren" Nvidai Treiber brauchst :-)

Versuchs mal mit
pkg install nvidia-driver-340
