Mir ist nicht mehr aus dem Kopf gegangen, was pit234a alles so auf tmpfs laufen lässt:

Besonders hat es mir jetzt erst mal das /var/log angetan.
Bei mir ist es aber so, dass ich wegen dem ZFS das ich für /usr und /var benutze die tmpfs mit mountlate, also dem Schalter late in der /etc/fstab mounten muss.
Das mountlate für die tmpfs führte dazu, das newsyslog nicht startete.
Nun habe ich in /etc/rc.d/newsyslog einfach noch bei dem # REQUIRE: mountlate hinzugefügt:
Damit startet dann auch newsyslog auf late mounted tmpfs einwandfrei.
Wäre das was, was Einzug in das Basisystem halten sollte?
Das newsyslog ein bisschen später startet, damit alle Dateisysteme mounted sind?
