[5.2.1] XFree auf dem thinkpad T20

Hallo,
ich versuche gerade auf einem IBM Thinkpad T20 Xfree 4.3.0 zum Laufen zu bringen, auch mit Hilfe von http://mailbox.univie.ac.at/~le/thinkpad/
Allerdings bringt er mir bei dessen XFConfig wie auch bei meiner[1] immer folgende Fehlermeldung, wenn ich startx mache:

(WW) checkDevMem: failed to open /dev/mem (Operation not permitted)
(--) Using syscons driver with X support (version 2.0)
(--) using VT number 9


Fatal server error:
xf86EnableIO: Failed to open /dev/io for extended I/O

also letztendlich konnte /dev/io nicht initialisiert werden.

Mögliche Securelevel-Restriktion?

die securelevel sind disabled.

aber jetzt bewegt sich die Mouse nicht :/

Zeig mal die Ausgabe von:
$sysctl kern.securelevel

sind auf -1, also disabled.
aber die Mouse krieg ich trotzdem nicht zum laufen, auch wenn x jetzt den kde voll startet

Wenn eine USB-Maus, dann editiere die XF86Conf zB so:

Ich habe keine usbmaus, sondern das teil, das beim thinkpad integriert ist. als ich den usbdämon abgeschaltet hab, und den moused dämon an, funktionierte es.

Übrigens heisst die Fläche "Touchpad" und der Nippel "Trackpoint".
