Drucker Canon BJC 4200 druckt nicht

Hallo,

mein Drucker bockt. Komme mit der Doku von NetBSD und dem Buch von C&L in diesem Punkt nicht weiter.
Hoffe, dass hier jemand 'nen Tipp geben kann !

Drucker = Parallelport am lpt0, Typ Tintensprüher Canon BJC 4200 (von apsfilter explizit unterstüzt)
Installiert habe ich ghostscript-esp (in Vorbereitung für cups) und apsfilter. Mit apsfilter habe ich die /etc/printcap konfiguriert.
Kein Netzwerk, Einzelplatz-Workstation (Internetverbindung per analogem 56K Modem seriell)

Wenn ich auf der Kommandozeile zum Test dies eingebe ...

"allen" Programmen drucken, GUI und Konsolenprogrammen.............

Danke für die Tipps! Das Dokument von Lindloff kenne ich schon.
O.K. vergerssen wir mal apsfilter.
Habe nun magicfilter installiert und die manuelle Konfiguration durchgeführt, sieht nun so aus
(der Filter passt nicht so ganz, aber egal):

Was mich irritiert:
das Testkommando lptest 70 20 > /dev/lpt0
bringt noch immer kein Ergebnis.
Der Drucker piepst 1x, aber es tut sich rein gar nichts.
Laut Literatur muss diesser Test aber funzen, sonst bringen auch magicfilter oder apsfilter nichts.
Wie schon gesagt, für den Fall dass dieser Test negativ ausfällt, an genau dieser Stelle gähnt in der Doku/Buch eine Lücke ... es wird nur allgemein auf die Kernelkonfiguration verwiesen.

Das Ergebnis tritt sowohl mit meinem Kernel Marke Eigenbau (per adjustkernel und manualler Nachkonfiguration erzeugt) als auch mit dem Generic-Kernel auf

Der daemon lpd ist in der /etc/rc.conf mit YES eingeschaltet und wird beim Booten aktiviert.

Unter FreeBSD 4.7 läuft der Drucker zumindest im Test lptest 70 20 > /dev/lpt0 einwandfrei (demnach also physikalisch korrekt angeschlossen und funktionsfähig)

Ist da was mit der Parallelport-Konfiguration nicht O.K. ?
Wie kann man sowas genauer überprüfen ?

Hallo raziel, sorry für die späte Antwort! War die letzte Zeit sehr inaktiv hier, und sonst
jetzt alles im Lot?
Ansonsten ist mir eigentlich nur aufgefallen, das Du noch keine Angaben über
die Seitengröße gemacht hast?
Da fehlt der Eintrag: pw#80 und pl#72 px#1440 für ein DinA4 Format, was normaler-
weise bei uns üblich ist? (Mit uns, meine ich in Europa, Deutschland, w.a.immer)
Sie Dir doch bitte noch mal den letzten Thread genauer an, achte auch auf die
Berechtigungen.......? Ist der ausgewählte Inputfilter korrekt für Deinen Drucker?
Bitte auch nochmal genauestens überprüfen...........

Nein, Parallelport/Drucker funzt noch immer nicht.

hallöle,

ich habe den selben drucker und hatte das gleiche problem.
versuche mal einen kernel ohne "device plip" zu erstellen.
danach bekam ich mit lptest den ausdruck.

ich nutze zwar freebsd, aber es sollte auch mit net bsd funktionieren.
meine printcap steht zwar noch nicht, doch wenn der testdruck erfolgreich
war müsste auch der rest klappen.

Habe derzeit kein NetBSD laufen, muss den BSD-Rechner erst noch umbauen und wieder zusammenflicken. Dann kann sich NetBSD so richtig breit machen.

mein drucker macht das was er soll: drucken.
