Das Thema mit WLAN ist komplexer. Mit jeder Generation wird WLAN komplizierter, da immer anspruchsvollere Übertragungstechniken eingesetzt werden (müssen). Als Reaktion darauf verlagern die Hardware-Hersteller immer mehr Logik in die Treiber. Während seinerzeit bei 802.11G der unter den Treibern liegende Netzwerk-Stack noch recht schlank war, wuchs er daher bei 802.11N schon deutlich an. Mit der Folge, dass alle BSDs Jahre brauchten den N-Standard überhaupt einigermaßen zu unterstützen. Mit 802.11-ac wird es noch krasser, anscheinend muss die Software nun auch noch so höhere Magie wie z.B. das Herausrechnen bzw. Ausnutzen von Echos erledigen. Kurz gesagt, eine auch nur halbwegs brauchbare Unterstützung des ac-Standards werden wir in den BSDs nicht so schnell sehen. Allerdings arbeiten mehrere Entwickler daran, zumindest Intels ac-Karten soweit zu unterstützen, dass sie im N-Standard arbeiten können. Das dürfte für die allermeisten Zwecke schon ausreichen. Wann es da wirklich nutzbare Treiber gibt, ist im Moment aber noch schwer abzuschätzen. Ich würde nicht in den nächsten Wochen damit rechnen. Wie man hier liest, ist OpenBSD wohl recht weit.

Wie schon gesagt, ist WLAN im Moment nicht meine größte Sorge... Das WLAN Problem kann ich ggf. noch mit einem USB-Stick (ältere Generation) überbrücken - da soll es schlimmeres geben.

Ich würd gern mal X ordentlich zum laufen bekommen, so das ich auch zwischen X und Console wechseln kann. Leider hab ich mich wohl mit DragonFlyBSD wieder mal für einen Aussenseiter entschieden, wo die Community nicht so groß wie bei anderen Distributionen ist. Bis dato war ich eigentlich recht positiv gestimmt, vor allem weil der Intel Treiber für die Haswell-Grafik out-of-the-box funktionierte.
Noch gebe ich nicht auf, aber ein paar Hints zu meinem (im letzten Post genannten Problem) könnt ich schon noch gebrauchen.

Ich wollte nur mal nachfragen, ob vielleicht doch noch jemand einen Tip bzgl. des Xorg-Problems hat?

Ich kann X starten, schaut soweit auch alles gut aus (keine Errors im Log)... Sobald ich jedoch vom X zum Terminal wechsle, wird es dunkel und nichts geht mehr.
