gimp: segmentation fault - bei öffnen von *.jpg's

Seit einigen Tagen rennt mein neuinstalliertes FBSD 5.3. Gestern habe ich Gimp via Ports installiert und heute wollte ich gerne Fotos bearbeiten, die ich von meiner cam via "gtkam" gezogen habe. Danach ist eben ein verkleinern und so mit gimp notwendig. Selbiges habe ich vor meiner Neuinstallation im alten System (auch 5.3) immer genauso gemacht, funktionierte immer einwandfrei.

Jetzt habe ich aber ein Problem, wenn ich .jpg Bilder öffne. Das sieht folgendermaßen aus: ich bekomme eine Gimp-Meldung in nem Fenster, in der steht dann

Opening ...jpg failed: Plug-in could not open Image

und in der Konsole sehe ich folgendes:

/usr/X11R6/libexec/gimp/2.2/plug-ins/jpeg: fatal error: Segmentation fault

Dies passiert aber nicht zwangsweise mit allen jpgs. Manche funktionieren in der Tat, konnte aber noch nicht herausfinden, welcher Zusammenhang dazwischen besteht, welche funktionieren und welche nicht.

Ich tippe mal verwegen auf gettext und shared-mime-info, hatte das Problem auch kurzzeitig bis zum kompletten portupgrade. Bringe doch erst mal alles auf den neuesten Stand und probiere dann weiter.
 
Ich habe keine Ahnung davon was passiert wenn man Versionen mischt; ich würde es auch nicht ausprobieren und ich glaube auch nicht, dass es damit zusammenhängt, aber warum hast du einen 6.7.0er X-Server wobei der relevante Rest 6.8.2 ist? Das System sieht recht gewachsen aus, da z.T. alte Pakete installiert sind. Wie aktualisierst du denn deine installierte Software in der Regel?

Die Tatsache, dass der X.org-Kram verschiedene Versionen hat, liegt daran, dass ich erst eine Installation von 5.3 aus nem iso-Image gemacht habe, da war originalerweise der 6.7er dabei.

Bisher bin ich aus faulheitsgründen aber nur dazu gekommen, einige x.org-Komponenten via

portupgrade -R ...

zu aktualisieren. Das is der einzige Grund.

Wo mach ich denn jetzt bei der GIMP-Fehlersuche weiter?

Halt bei xorg, da liegt der Hase im Pfeffer. GIMP greift doch auch nur auf andere Sachen zurück, wenn es z.B. JPEGs öffnen will.
 
Ich hab das Problem seit neuestem mit Gimp auch, dass es bei manchen JPG-Dateien eine Fehlermeldung erscheint und ich sie deswegen nicht öffnen kann.

Gimp: "... konnte nicht geöffnet werden: Plugin konnte das Bild nicht öffnen"

Meine System ist aber relativ aktuell, aber ich mache trotzdem mal ein cvsup und schaue ob es an was relevanten liegen könnte, was vergessen wurde upzudaten.
 
Alle Pakete sind jetzt up to date - der Fehler bleibt bestehen...

Sofern vom Urheberrecht her möglich, solltest du mal eines der problematischen Bilder einstellen. Dann kann man testen, ob es andernorts auch auftritt. Wenn man jemanden findet, bei dem es mit dem Bild zu keinen Problemen kommt, kann man ja mit dessen System vergleichen.

Und was möchtest du uns damit nun in Bezug auf das Thema sagen? :confused: Wenn Herakles JPEGs bearbeiten möchte, dann sollte er GIMP wohl eher nicht mit WITHOUT_JPEG übersetzen.

Habe zumindest mal alle Pakete aktuallisiert die in diesem Thread erwähnt sind.... ein portupgrade -a ist hier nicht so leicht zu realisieren, weil nur ISDN.

Vielleicht weiss ja jemand noch nen Rat!

Bei mir funktioniert es jetzt plötzlich wieder, nachdem ich GIMP via

Bei mir funktioniert es jetzt wieder, nachdem ich gimp neugebaut habe,
mit der option ohne libexif (libexif ist für die gespeicherten zusatzinformationen zb.
mit was für ner kamera ..usw..)

versucht das mal, klappt sicherlich auch bei euch

libexif brauche ich unbedingt, da ich die EXIF daten die meine kamera abspeichert auch beibehalten möchte.
portupgrade -R gimp und auch ein reinstall von gimp haben bis jetzt nichts gebracht... im moment bin ich dabei irgendwie alle ports zu aktuallisieren... mal schauen ob das was bringt...
