Hallo

ich habe jetzt einen alten Laptop geschenkt bekommen und versuche dort gerade FreeBSD zu instalieren. Leider hat der Vorbesitzer die komplette Doku über den Laptop verlegt.
Jetzt versuche ich gerade die Infrarotschnittstelle zu konfigurieren. Leider weiß ich nicht, was da für eine Hardware dahintersteckt. Hat jemand eine Ahnung, wie ich da vorgehen könnte?

Noch zu dmseg. Da finde ich leider nichts, was nach der Schnittstelle aussieht :(

Poste mal doch die dmesg :)

Und schaue zugleich in dein BIOS nach, ob diese nicht "zufälligerweise" deaktiviert wurde. Sowas kann man leicht mit Infrarot-Sachen machen.

Hmmm ... warum fährst du 4.7 .... die 4-er Linie stirbt eh aus und 4.7 ist schon etwas älter.

Nimm "wenigstens" die 4.9-er oder 5.1

Diese beiden müssten deine Infrarot-Schnittstellen erkennen können.

Evtl. brennt ja jemand hier die Mini-ISO und verschickt diese gegen ein geringen Entgelt an Dich...
