Installation von FreeBSD 5.3 auf Notebook

Hallo,

ich möchte gerade auf mein Notebook (Tronic5, 633 MHz MMX, 256 MB Speicher, 20 GB Festplatte) FreeBSD 5.3 installieren. Dazu habe ich mir die CD1 von FreeBSD 5.3 besorgt und wolte mit der Installation beginnen.

Gleich nach den laden vom FreeBSD Bootmenü bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung:

Volgendes habe ich bereits versucht:
- Im Bios PnP ausgeschaltet
- Im Bios Grafik auf nur TFT umgestellt
- Installation im BSD Menü - DEFAULT (1)
- Installation im BSD Menü - with ACPI (2)

Bin über jeden Tip dankbar und hoffe dieses bald installieren zu können.

Versuchs doch mal mit dem "Safe mode". Ich hatte bei meiner allerersten Installation auch Probleme, konnte diese aber mit dem "Safe mode" umgehen.

jetzt habe ich es auch im Safe Mode getestet und bekomme erneut die selbe Fehlermeldung.

Gibt es noch andere Möglichkeiten, FreeBSD auf den Notebook zu installieren?

Schau mal nach, ob ueberhaupt alles (richtig) erkannt wurde. Weiß jetzt nur bei 4.10, da konnte man das über so ein Menü einsehen. Ich hatte das prob, das er die grafikkarte nicht erkannt hatte (vermutlich defekter Speicherbereich) und konnte bei mir garnicht starten (Bis auf sehr seltenen Ausnahmen, wo er nur Speicheradressen angesprochen hat, die intakt waren.

Deine Ausgabe erinnert mich irgendwie daran ... nur so eine idee :)

... viel Glück noch und sag mal bescheid ob und wie du es ggf. hinbekommen hast :)

danke für eure Antworten, habe gestern Abend nochmals einen Versuch gestartet FreeBSD auf das gesagte Notebook zu installieren. Leider ohne Erfolg, ich komme einfach nicht über diese Fehlermeldung hinaus.
An der Hardwareerkennung könnte der Fehler schon liegen nur habe ich bis jetzt keine Möglichkeit gefunden mir die Hardware auflisten zu lassen, die der Bootmanager gefunden hat.

Wie kann ich mir die Hardware auflisten lassen?
Wie kann ich einen anderen Treiber in den Bootmanager einbauen?

Habe gestern auch mal die Installation über Disketten gestartet aber da bekomme ich immer eine Fehlermeldung das der Kernel nicht Ausführbar ist.

Hat jetzt noch jemand eine Idee?

boote eimal einen aktuellen Linux Kernel und zeig uns den dmesg output.
würde mich interressieren was in deinem Notebook so alles drinsteckt.
 
ich hatte auch das gleiche problem gehabt, irgendwie mochte meiner weder die bootcd noch die bootfloppys.
zum glueck konnte man meinen laptop uebers netzwerk booten.

ansonsten koenntest du auch nochmal die holzhammermethode probieren: einfach die bootfloppy auf die ersten sektoren der festplatte schreiben. das klappt zumindest sehr gut bei openbsd, bei freebsd uebernehme ich keine garantie.
 
Hallo Leute,

habe mir gestern Knoppix gezogen und habe die CD in mein Notebook gelegt. Gestartet und es läuft alles, die Netzwerkkarte, die Soundkarte und die Maus. Auch die Grafikkarte wird erkannt und die Auflösung ist 1024x768.

Ich habe mal einen dmesg mit der Knoppix-CD erstellt. Hier die Ausgabe, warum kann ich aber FreeBSD 5.3 nicht installieren?
Habe jetzt auch mal bei den Bootdisketten von FreeBSD in der Datei /boot/loader.conf den Schalter ACPI auf "NO" gestelt. Bekomme aber immer noch eine Fehlermeldung beim laden vom Kernel.
