Hallo alle-

ich habe KDE mit pkg_add von einem FTP installiert und habe dann versucht es zu starten mit "startx"-doch es startet nur xdm!!!:grumble:

Kann mir da einer weiterhelfen?
 
Das ist schon in Ordnung so :) Wenn Du dich anmeldest, dann wird KDE gestartet, so KDE denn in .xinitrc eingtragen ist ;)

'man xdm' sollte die Verwirrung aus der Welt schaffen ;)
 
Ja ist besser glaub ich - denn ich habe gelesen wenn in KDE Fehler auftauchen-dass es dann nicht so angenehm ist wenn er immer am Startup startet.
 
startkde "von hand" inner konsole zu testzwecken eintippsen sollte es übrigens auch tun ;)

Wer Lust aufs Tippen hat, kann er/sie sich auch in der /etc/rc.local den ganzen Kram mit kdm eintragen.

Dort gibt es bereits Einträge für xdm und diese können problemlos auch auf kdm übertragen werden.

Aber, aus eigener Erfahrung (und Gewohnheit) ziehe ich eine schlichte Shell beim SysStart vor.

Ich hab ein Problem mit des Bildschirmgrösse,ich kann nicht grösser als 640x480 machen.

Ein wenig mehr Information w"urde helfen. Was hast Du denn versucht um die Aufl"osung zu ver"andern??? Naja, in jedem Fall solltest Du einen Blick in die xorg.conf werfen. Dazu finden sich zahlreichen Hinweise im Internet.

Ich habe KDE installiert,den X-Server gestartet (startkde).

In der Kontrolzentrale kann man dann aussuchen welche Bildschirmgrösse man will,doch ich habe nur die Auswahl zwischen 640x480 und 320x230.
 
poste doch bitte mal deine /etc/X11R6/xorg.conf bzw schau mal welche auflösungen in der section "screen" angegeben sind.
 
Vorher habe ich es nicht richtig gemacht... jetzt startet der X-Server doch der Bildschirm bleibt schwarz und nichts tut sich.

Kann mir einer sagen was falsch in meinem /etc/X11/xorg.conf ist:

Ich glaube, es würe dir guttun, dich ein wenig mehr in die Materie einzulesen ;)

x.org ist der teil des Systems, der die Graphischen Funktionen stellt ... KDE setzt dort sozusagen nur auf
Hast du denn auch eine nvida karte wie dort unten angegeben?
Warum 2x depth?
Versuch mal mit x -configure eine X.org konfig zu generieren und die dann zu benutzen (steht in der letzten Zeile die er nach dem befehl ausspuckt)
 
Ich poste mal mein xorg.conf ,vielleicht findet einer raus dass etwas nicht ganz so stimmt :p

Kann mir einer sagen wie ich mich in KDE als einfacher Benutzer einlogge?

Ich habe es so versucht: ich logge mich als "clearguy" am start ein,dann starte ich KDE so:
sudo startkde ,aber wenn ich dann eine Konsole in KDE öffne bin ich root,und auch im Kontrollzentrum
steht "Benutzer:root" .
 
mit sudo(8) führst du startkde als root aus...

füg "exec startkde" in deine .xinitrc ein und starte es mit startx.

auf bald

Dann bekomme ich so eine Nachricht:

und xdm startet,und es gibt eine error-Message das KDEstartupconfing nicht gestartet werden konnte.

Wahrscheinlich stimmt was mit den Rechten nicht,ich habe "clearguy" in die Gruppe "wheel" eingeschrieben wie es in der man afterboot steht.
