Laptop für OpenBSD gesucht

In erster Linie kommts auf die Hardware an, die muss das schon leisten können. Dann kommen die Treiber und zuguterletzt die Software.
OpenBSD machts eigentlich hier recht einfach, AMD oder Intel bei Grafik, wobei letzteres nur mäßige Performanz aufbietet und erstere nicht den aktuellen Stand der Technik entspricht, Stichwort RadeonSI. Fehlende Virtualisierung tut ihr übriges wobei gerade die tägliche Desktop Performanz bei OpenBSD ich für die schlechteste aller BSDs halte.
 
Ich fahr hier ein OpenBSD auf einem halbwegs aktuellen T530. Suspend/Resume, Powermanagement, Sound, WLAN, X lief alles direkt. Ich muss sagen, dass ich mein T60 im Vergleich ein wenig träge finde (beide laufen mit SSDs).

EDIT: Es liegen natürlich 7 Jahre Entwicklungszeit dazwischen ;).
 
Das T530 klingt sehr interessant, ich finde aber verschiedene Versionen online. Kannst Du ein paar genauere Specs Deiner Hardware geben?
 
Eine dmesg hab ich gerade leider nicht parat. Ist ein i5 4 core mit Intel Grafik, em und iwn Draht und Wireless (hab ich per trunk gekoppelt), 16 GB RAM, hab eine Samsung EVO SSD drin. CPU ist "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60GHz". Falls du eine komplette dmesg möchtest, sag kurz Bescheid, dann reboote ich die Kiste mal ;).
 
Also, die dmesg würden mich in der Tat interessieren! Das T530 kommt mir wie die ideale Unix-Kiste vor.

Also ich hatte nicht so viel Zeit wie geplant, aber habe mal das aktuelle Thinkpad X240 getestet ... unser Modell hat einen Core i5, 4GB Arbeitsspeicher und SSD - es wurde alles ausser die Intel-AC-7260-WLAN-Karte erkannt. Auch X lief wunderbar schnuckelig. Ausserdem konnte ich die WWAN karte leider nicht testen. Ich habe ein wenig gegoogelt - support fürs WLAN soll wohl kommen.
