OpenBSD 3.7 ist da!!!

hey!

in diesem sinne: KAUFEMPFEHLUNG!!!

go to /usr/ports/math/octave and run
Code:
% make install
as usual. this will fail. then just download octave 2.1.70 from ftp://ftp.octave.org/pub/octave/octave-2.1.70.tar.gz, and unpack it into a big partition (because it eats up more than 500mb while compiling). then do (as root, because otherwise you will get a nasty "memory exausted" message) the usual
Code:
% ./configure --prefix=/usr/local && gmake && gmake install
stuff (after you have gmake installed, of course!) and you'll have a working version of octave installed on your computer. remember to compile gnuplot BEFORE you compile octave. i will post the errormessage later, so more people googling for help will find this.

oh, yeah, the error is
Code:

Stop in /usr/ports/math/octave (line 1769 of /usr/ports/infrastructure/mk/bsd.port.mk).

p.s.: lets see how much more ports will fail over the next few weeks due to the fact, that the new gcc is version 3. (maybe we'll have to wait for openbsd 3.8 to call it stable again)
