Probleme mit PCMCIA Karte LevelOne FPC-0106TX auf einem TP 600e unter FreeBSD 6.0

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe auf meinem TP 600e FreeBSD 6.0 installiert und habe Schwierigkeiten meine PCMCIA Karte LevelOne FPC-0106TX zum laufen zu bringen. Mit dhclient dc0 kriege ich keine dhcp Verbindung hin.

Nach den Hinweisen des Forums habe ich die Datei /boot/loader.conf mit folgendem Eintrag erstellt :

Du hast keine LevelOne FPC-0106TX (die müßte sich als rl0 melden)

Du hast eine Abocom FE2500MX (die sich auch richtig als dc0 meldet)

Falls Du /boot/loader.conf mit Daten auf Basis von LevelOne erstellt hast,
liegt da der Hase im Pfeffer.

Das muss ich Dir teilweise widersprechen/zustimmen?!. Ich selbst habe eine LevelOne, die sich aber auch als Abacom (dc0) ansprechen lässt.
 
Bitte um Aufklärung:

Abocom FE2500MX wird ausschließlich in FreebSD manpage dc(4) gelistet.
LevelOne FPC-0106TX wird ausschließlich FreeBSD manpage rl(4) gelistet.

Wie soll das gehen, dass eine Karte mal als dc0 und mal als rl0 erkannt wird ?

Ist Die Hardware-Erkennung an dieser Stelle defekt ?
 
Vielleicht wurden vom Hersteller verschieden Chips verbaut oder das Design der Karte mit einer neuen Revision geändert?

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe in der Zwischenzeit die Karte unter Knoppix, FreesBie und Windows XP ausprobiert und keinen Erfolg gehabt, obwohl die Karte vorher ohne Probleme unter Windows XP lief. Auch die Versuche mit einer AnyCom Karte blieben erfolglos.

Daher schätze ich, dass die Karte oder der Slot eine Macke haben.

Doch ein OSI Layer 8 Fehler

Hallo zusammen,

die LevelOne Karte ist doch in Ordnung. Ich habe sie zu mindest unter windows xp mit einem neuen Treiber und neuer Installation von Windows XP zum laufen bekommen. Beim installieren weiterer Kisten ist mir aufgefallen, dass mein DSL Modem Router auf dem ersten Steckplatz keine DHCP Verbindung zulässt, die rausgeht. Das war mir entgangen, weil ich bisher nicht alle Steckplätze gebraucht habe. ;'( Deshalb hat FreeBSD keine DHCP Verbindung hingekriegt.
