Probleme mit SoundBlaster 16 PCI

Hallo Leute,

ich habe folgendes Problem:

Ich habe mir eine gebrauchte SoundBlaster 16 PCI zugelegt, die vom System (openBSD 3.6) auch anscheinend einwandfrei erkannt wird. In der dmesg-Ausgabe steht zumindest die zeile

audio0 at eap0

Die Karte gibt auch was von sich, nur eben nicht lange. Wenn ich ein Lied abspiele, fängt es nach ca. 2 sek. an zu stocken und nach ca. 5 sekunden höre ich nur noch ein Pfeifen bzw. Rauschen. Ich habe bereits mehrere Lieder und Player ausprobiert, überall die gleichen Symptome.

Liegt es nun an der Karte selbst oder evtl. an der Konfiguration? Wenn es an der Konfiguration liegt, wo kann ich sie ändern?

hört sich eher nach einem hardwareproblem an... kannst du die karte mit einem anderen rechner und anderem betriebssystem testen?

Hallo nochmal,

erstmal Danke für den Tipp, ich hab den Rechner mal mit Knoppix gebootet, und da laufen die Songs völlig problemlos. Ein Hardwareproblem lässt sich daher wohl ausschließen.

Nur wo soll ich jetzt weitersuchen? Soll ich meine dmesg mal posten?

OK, ich habs versucht. Wenn ich wie in der man angegeben

audioctl play.rate=44100 (oder auch andere Werte) eingebe,

bekomme ich nur die Meldung:

audioctl: set failed: Invalid argument

Ich bin in soundsachen nun mal nicht sehr versiert, tut mir Leid, aber ich danke Dir auf jeden Fall fuer Deine Bemuehungen!

OK, ich habs jetzt doch noch geschafft, die Werte zu setzen, aendern tut sich trotzdem nichts.
Mir ist aber noch etwas aufgefallen, und zwar: Wenn ich mit xmms eine .wav Datei abspiele, funktioniert das ohne Probleme. Mit mp3 gehts allerdings nicht. Bei mp3blaster und mplayer funktioniert beides nicht.

was sagt mpg123? und was ogg123?
was passiert bei einem "cat /dev/random >/dev/audio0"?

".wav file abspielen geht" lingt fuer mich nach "mp3-player ist fritten"

oder irgendein x-proggie funkt dazwischen. probier mal alles nur auf der konsole zu starten.
 
Also, mpg123 hat die gleichen Symptome, keine Fehlermeldung.
bei einem cat /dev/random > /dev/audio0 kommt die Fehlermeldung

cat /dev/random: input/output error

Ohne X die gleichen Symptome
