Hallo Leute,
also Vinum nervt mich langsam. Ich versuche inzwischen seit Tagen, mein Softraid zum Laufen zu bekommen.
Ich habe 3 SCSI-HDDs (da2, da3, da4), jeweils mit ca. 9 GB.
Das sagt 'disklabel -e da2':
<schnipp>
# /dev/da2:
8 partitions:
# size offset fstype [fsize bsize bps/cpg]
c: 17783239 0 unused 0 0
e: 17783239 0 vinum
</schnipp>
da3 und da4 sehen genauso aus. Danach habe ich '/etc/vinum.conf' editiert, nämlich so:
<schnipp>
drive d1 device /dev/da2e
drive d2 device /dev/da3e
drive d3 device /dev/da4e
volume softraid
plex org raid5 512k
sd length 8675m drive d1
sd length 8675m drive d2
sd length 8675m drive d3
</schnipp>
Darauf folgte ein 'vinum create -f /etc/vinum.conf', welches mir der Volume Manager wie folgt quittierte:
<schnipp>
3 drives:
D d1 State: up /dev/da2e A: 8/8683 MB (0%)
D d2 State: up /dev/da3e A: 8/8683 MB (0%)
D d3 State: up /dev/da4e A: 8/8683 MB (0%)
1 volumes:
V softraid State: down Plexes: 1 Size: 16 GB
1 plexes:
P softraid.p0 R5 State: init Subdisks: 3 Size: 16 GB
3 subdisks:
S softraid.p0.s0 State: empty D: d1 Size: 8675 MB
S softraid.p0.s1 State: empty D: d2 Size: 8675 MB
S softraid.p0.s2 State: empty D: d3 Size: 8675 MB
</schnipp>
Man beachte den Volumestate "DOWN", sowie den Plexstate "INIT", der sich auch nach einigen Minuten nicht ändert.
Und so endet ein 'newfs /dev/vinum/softraid' in der Meldung:
<schnipp>
newfs: /dev/vinum/softraid: could not open special device
</schnipp>
HIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLFFFFFFFFFEEEEEEEEEEEE....
