8.0 RC3: ELF interpreter /libexec/ld-elf.so.1 not found

Moin,

habe gerade auf dem AMD64 System FreeBSD 7.2-BETA2 per CD/sysinstall auf 8.0-RC3 gebracht. Der Upgade des Basisystems scheint soweit geklappt zu haben, es bootet in 8.0-RC3, aber danach geht fast nix mehr: bei fast allem, was ich versuche, kommt:
ELF interpreter /libexec/ld-elf.so.1 not found
Abort trap

da keinerlei portupgrade mehr geht, sieht es nach Neuinstallation aus

Oder hat vielleicht jemand einen Tip?
 
Sieht aus, als seien aus irgend einem Grund Kernel und Basissystem asynchron. Da wäre das Einfachste schlicht noch ein einmal das Update durchlaufen zu lassen. Wenn gar nichts anderes mehr geht, von einer Live-CD aus per make buildworld. Es wäre der Holzhammer, sollte aber das System pflicken.

ein zumindest sehr ähnliches Problem hatte ich auch: http://www.bsdforen.de/showthread.php?t=23548.

Hier lag es daran, dass der nforce-Chipsatz beim Schreiben und Lesen gerne Daten vernichtete.

Bei mir war es speziell so, dass die Kiste dann beim Booten nach dem Starten des Kernels (Farbwechsel der Schrift beim Booten) mit zufaelligen Fehlern dieser Art auf die Nase flog.
Das Laden des Kernels selbst über BIOS-Funktionen funktionierte noch.

b) eine erneute Neuinstallation danach von einem kompletten DVD Medium auch wieder zwar für das Basissystem ging, aber jede Installation von Packages mit
"Add of package xcb-proto-1.5 aborted, error code 1"
usw abbricht,

habe ich erstmal jeden weiteren Versuch mit 8.0 aufgegeben. Zumindest für AMD64 ist das 8.0 noch unbrauchbar. Gut, dass das nur ein Testsystem war...

Nun arbeite ich seit ein paar Jahren schon mit FreeBSD, aber noch kaum ein Update oder noch weniger Upgrade hat mal wirklich rund geklappt! Irgendwas war immer. Das musste ich einfach mal loswerden... ;)

Werde jetzt erstmal mit 7.2 auf dem Produktivsystem weiterarbeiten, (sowie mit Ubuntu und Debian Linux, da sind die Update/Upgradeverfahren nämlich traumhaft stabil.) und warte mal ein Reifen von 8.x ab.

Nenne bitte mal Deine Hardware, ich denke mal, dass es dort ein Treiberproblem gibt.

In so einem Fall hat es bei mir immer geholfen, wenn man zumindest für die Installation des Betriebssytems, den DMA-Modus sowohl für die Festplatte als auch für das optische Laufwerk abschaltet.

Für den laufenden Betrieb, kannst Du den Modus wieder aktivieren. Aber ansonsten gilt das, was rMarkus schon geschrieben hat.

In so einem Fall hat es bei mir immer geholfen, wenn man zumindest für die Installation des Betriebssytems, den DMA-Modus sowohl für die Festplatte als auch für das optische Laufwerk abschaltet.

Für den laufenden Betrieb, kannst Du den Modus wieder aktivieren. Aber ansonsten gilt das, was rMarkus schon geschrieben hat.

BTW, bei mir kann man nur DMA Gesamt abschalten, nicht separat für HD und CD/DVD

Nun arbeite ich seit ein paar Jahren schon mit FreeBSD, aber noch kaum ein Update oder noch weniger Upgrade hat mal wirklich rund geklappt! Irgendwas war immer.
In den letzten Wochen hatte ich mehere Installationen von Ubuntu und auch Updates von 9.04 zu 9.10 durchgeführt: das geht alles grafisch un vollkommen einfach und Paket-orientiert und ist demnach als wirklich Enduser-Ready zu bezeichnen.
Als ich mit FreeBSD anfing, war ein Grund genau der, dass ich damals nie einen sauberen Update einer GNU/Linux-Distribution hinbekommen hatte, während es bei FreeBSD auf Anhieb funktionierte.
Den PC, den ich aktuell nutze, das ist ein AMD64 und seit einer 6er Installation ist er nur upgedatet worden und nicht neu aufgesetzt und es läuft dort ein Desktop System mit KDE3 und vielen Multimedia Dingen. Es ist nicht so, dass es immer problemlos geht und manchmal war ich auch kurz vorm Aufgeben, allermeist lagen die Probleme aber in forschem Voranschreiten meinerseits und mangelhafter Lektüre der Update-Empfehlungen, etwa der UPDATING. Also, seit freebsd-update und mit den bsdadminscripts komme ich da recht gut klar und kann von mir aus dafür FreeBSD nur loben. Derzeit läuft mein PC mit 8.0-RC3 und Probleme habe ich nicht im Betrieb, aber es gibt ein paar Dinge, etwa automatisches Einbinden von USB-Laufwerken in diversen Dateiformaten mittels Hal, was ich mir noch ansehen müsste (das ich aber auch nicht wirklich vermisse) und womit ich jedenfalls auf die Release warte.
Nebenbei: Desktop-BSD hatte früher mal ein gutes Update-System und ich glaube auch, PC-BSD und wenn mit Linux-Distributionen verglichen wird, kann man nicht direkt FreeBSD nehmen. Das passt ja nicht nicht so ganz, FreeBSD hat ja gar nicht vergleichbare Ziele, wie etwa die Enduser-Tauglichkeit.
