Hallo,

in den Ports für FreeBSD ist seit heute Nacht Amarok in der Version 1.2.3.
Amarok ist eine aufwändige Jukebox für KDE.
Es zeigt z.B. Coverbilder an,
und kann Coverbilder auch suchen und fetchen,
wenn diese fehlen.
Das ist sicher nur ein Detail, mir gefällt es aber sehr gut.
Es bietet eine Menge Eyecandy.

Amarok unterstützt eine Vielzahl verschieder Auidio Frameworks.
Auch Internetradio kann man mit Amarok hören.

Ich bin lofi, dem Committer, für seine Leistung sehr dankbar,
lofi hat übrigens auch schon KDE 3.4 für FreeBSD portiert. :)
Amarok war zuvor eine Weile leider "broken",
daher hielt ich es für erwähnenswert, das es jetzt wieder zu bauen ist,
und obendrein in einer neuen Version! :)

Darauf habe ich ebenfalls schon lange gewartet. Habe versucht mir das Teil selber aus den Sourcen zu bauen, allerdings ohne Erfolg da ein Header File gefehlt hat. Es stand ja auch lange Zeit auf "incomplete pkg-list" in den Ports.

Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall schon auf heute Abend wenn ich das Portupgrade anschmeisse. :)

oha, mir fällt gerade auf:
Amarok holt sich ja sogar die Texte.
Da hilft meinen Nachbarn auch nicht,
das ich über Kopfhörer höre,
wenn ich da laut und falsch mitgröle. :ugly:

Hm, ich weiss nicht, ich komme mit Amarok irgendwie nicht klar :( Hab gerade extra nochmal die neue Version getestet...

Ich find das ganze Ding einfach total unübersichtlich und bloated... Naja, heisst wohl, ich werd weiterhin xmms benutzen.

ja, Amarok ist schon ein ganz schönes Bröckchen.
Aber bisher hatte ich immer nur einen einzelnen Ordner
bzw. ein einzelnes Album
in den jeweiligen Player eingelesen.
Mit Amarok habe ich das ganze Zeug auf einmal eingelesen,
und das Coverbild sehe ich auch,
ohne die Orginal CD aus den Ikea Billys zu kramen.
Finde ich schon praktisch, aber mir die Texte rauszusuchen,
wozu das rausfrimeln des Booklets nötig wäre,
dazu wäre ich garantiert zu faul.
Habe mir die CDs doch aus bequemlichkeit eingelesen.
Ist auch bei einer Party nicht schlecht, wenn ein Gast fragt
was das ist, und das Cover direkt zu sehen ist.
Solche Fragen kommen ja normalerweise
gerne zu fortgeschrittener Stunde bei erhöhtem Spritpegel. :D

Aber jedem sein Player. :)
Wenn ich nur mal kurz ein einzelnes mp3 abspielen möchte
nehme ich auch schon mal gerne den xmms.
Aber das mit den Songtexten finde ich echt Hammer,
stand zwar bestimmt irgendwo schon dabei,
aber mir ist es orginal gerade eben erst aufgefallen,
als ich mal ein bißchen rumgeklickt habe.

Genau an dieser Stelle ist irgendwie mein Problem mit Amarok *lol*
Ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Tags für gesamte MP3/Ogg Sammlung 100% perfekt sein müssen, sonst wird amarok leider wirklich unübersichtlich.

Bei xmms weiss ich eben, dass er meine 4000+ mp3s so sortiert, wie sie im Dateisystem vorkommen. Und da ich schon recht ordentlich sortiert habe, zumindest was die Verzeichnisnamen angeht, finde ich auch nur so zum Beispiel sehr schnell ein Lied von "WASP" in der Playlist. Amarok würfelt das halt alles irgendwie durcheinander.

Ansonsten mag ich den Player, aber man sollte auf einen "Mach doch was du willst, ich sortier so, wie die Files im Dateisystem vorkommen"-Modus umschalten können. ;)

Nicht amarok ist dein Problem sondern eine Dependency: gstreamer-plugins-musepack. Woran liegts? Steht da auch: Deine gstreamer Version ist zu alt (0.8.9), wobei mindestens 0.8.9.1 installiert sein muss. Also zunächst gstreamer und entsprechende Plugin Ports updaten, dann klappts auch mit amarok.

Nur ich habe meine MP3samlung auf nem Server gespeichert wie bring ich amarok bei das es sie von da laden soll??

Meine versuche Amarox mit dem gcc34 zu kompilieren sind kläglich gescheitert. Ist das irgendwem gelungen?

Inzwischen ist es mir gelungen amarok zu installieren, leider finde ich nirgendwo irgendwelche binaries.
