Ich schätze die Werte sind so niedrig, weil die Centrino-Version des Core2 Duo nur mit 800MHz Bustakt läuft.
 
Mal als Vergleich mein Pentium D 805 (das waren die einzigen Dual-Core Pentiums, die nicht mit 800er FSB liefen, sondern nur mit 533 - etwa 3 Jahre alt). Das Minboard hab ich kostenlos abgestaubt, es ist ein ASRock. :rolleyes:
RAM steckt ein einzelner 1GB DDR2 Riegel drin.

Verglichen zu allen anderen Desktoprechnern, die ich je besessen habe (außer meinem Mac Mini - den laß ich in Frieden) kommt mir die Kiste trotzdem extrem fix vor. :ugly:

Ich habe einen Core2-Duo 2.4 GHz mit 4MB L2-Cache und 800MHz Bustakt in meinem Laptop. Eine Freundin hat die Desktop-Version, die hat 1333MHz Bustakt. Ich denke, das hat vor allem beim Arbeitsspeicher eine deutliche Wirkung.

Die CPU hat nicht viel Cache (1MB) und 800MHz FSB. Außerdem ist der allerbilligste Speicher eingebaut (15€/GB). Läuft allerdings als Dual-Channel.

Es ist auch nicht "Core", glaube ich. Das ist die neue Variante von Celerons, so wie ich es beurteile. Ich finde, dass es für eine 70€-CPU recht solide ist, wenn ich mir die Athlon X2 - 6000+ Ergrbnisse anschaue. Allerdings ist ubench ein Haufen Müll, um mein Posting von früher noch einmal zu bekräftigen.

Lass mal bitte buildworld laufen mit allen Kernen im Einsatz (ich packe meine Werte immer dazu). Sieh mal meine früheren Kommentare an. Da habe ich irgendwo erwähnt, dass mein PC reproduzierbar "0" beim Memory-Benchmark gekriegt hat.

So, ich hab mal Buildworld, buildkernel und openssl speed bf hinzugefügt.
Nur beim openssl Test hat die 8 Kern Maschine ziemlich genau doppelt so viel wie die 4 Kern von dir, nakal.
Schon ziemlich komisch solche Leistungsvergleiche ;)

Ein buildworld ist sehr plattenintensiv. Mehr Prozesse bedeutet mehr gleichzeitige Zugriffe auf unterschiedliche Orte auf der Platte und verringert damit die Datenrate, die von der Festplatte geliefert wird

Ich würde auch nichts anderes erwarten. Ein Benchmark bringt nur dann was, wenn exakt für Deine Domäne vergleichst. Bei UBench bin ich mir nicht sicher was da getestet wird und ob es überhaupt korrekt testet. Da hab ich sowieso Zweifel. Ich zweifle hier insbesondere den Speichertest an. Ich hab schon wieder bei diesen Benchmarks Schwankungen gehabt, die ca. 30% betragen. Ich habe den besten Wert genommen, weil Messfehler in Benchmarks eher durch Verzögerungen (Rechner doch nicht so ganz idle) verursacht werden.

Wenn Du sowas wie Buildworld als Grundlage nimmst, dann kannst Du überblicken wie lange World und Ports kompilieren werden. Das ist nicht so ganz unwichtig bei FreeBSD.

openssl ist reine Rechenleistung und zwar mit minimalen Speicheranforderungen (8,5MB nimmt das Programm beim Testen von Blowfish). Da ist kein I/O, aber SMP wird durch den -multi Switch etwas gereizt und den Scheduler damit auch etwas kontrolliert. Wenn Du hier ziemlich gut doppelt so schnell bist wie ich, dann ist FreeBSD ja hervorragend am Skalieren (bezüglich CPUs/Cores).
