Hallo,

nachdem ich Firefox gestartet habe und nachdem ich dort eine URL aufrufen will, stürzt dieser gleich ab und es kommt dann folgende Fehlermeldung:

Das könnte theoretisch ein Hinweis darauf sein, dass deine Spracheinstellung verkehrt ist. Einie Programme mögen sowas nicht und quitieren es mit einem Absturz. Kannst du mal deine

- /home/du/.login_conf
zeigen?

Eine /home/du/.login_conf finde ich nicht hier bei PC-BSD.

Kurz gesagt es ist keine Lokaisierung gesetzt, wodurch sie eigentlich auch nicht falsch sein kann. Ich habe hier einen Schuss ins Dunkelblaue für dich, mehr blind geraten als durch Wissen zusatnde gekommen :D
Lege mal eine ~/.login_conf an, welche auf die deutsche Lokalisierung geht. Sie müsste so ausschauen:

Anschließend logst du dich aus unter wieder ein. Laufen die Anwendungen dann ist alles gut. Wenn nicht ist zumindestens die Fehlermeldung vom Firefox nicht Teil der Ursache. Dann müsste vielleicht jemand anders was dazu sagen.

Das meinte Yamagi auch mit /home/DU/.login_conf

Mit "DU" meinte er "deinen User".

Diese Datei sollte eigentlich standardmäßig schon da sein, allerdings ohne großen Inhalt.

Danke.:) Habe die login_conf jetzt gefunden und die sieht so aus:

Bei mir reichen in der login.conf die Angaben lang und charset, der Rest wird anscheinend automatisch korrekt gesetzt.

Vorbild waren da natürlich die lokalisierten Gruppen, die auch nur lang und charset setzen.
 
Hallo,

ich hatte das "linux-mplayer-plugin" installiert und habe mir jetzt das "mplayer-plugin" installiert.

Es muss wohl daran gelegen haben, denn jetzt habe ich keine Probleme mehr mit Firefox.

Danke für Eure Tipps, die dennoch sehr hilfreich waren.:)
