Firefox2.x mit Flash / Firefox3.x ohne Flash

Ich möchte dieses Thema noch einmal aufgreifen...

Für eine CBT-DVD ... mußte ich zuletzt Flash unter FreeBSD ans Laufen bekommen. Dazu habe ich Flash 7 und den nspluginwrapper aus den Ports installiert. Als Benutzer muß man dann noch nspluginwrapper(1) ausführen und es läuft wunderbar im nativen Firefox 3.0.4 (ebenfalls aus den Ports). Es waren also keine Tricks o.ä. notwendig.

ich arbeite mit FreeBSD 6.4 und habe mir aus den ports /usr/ports/www/firefox3, /usr/ports/www/linux-flashplugin7 -und in dem Zuge- /usr/ports/www/nspluginwrapper installiert.

Danach habe ich -als Benutzer- nspluginwrapper -i /usr/local/lib/npapi/linux-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so ausgeführt... Im Firefox tut sich leider nichts. about : plugins ist leer!

Im Epiphany laufen Flash-Videos (kann aber nicht sagen ob es vorher schon funktionierte).

Wo habe ich was übersehen?

Leider sind sie nur für Firefox 2 nutzbar. Firefox 3 ignoriert sie. Ich habe auch schon die Plugins in die entsprechenden Verzeichnisse kopiert /usr/local/lib/firefox, bzw. /usr/local/lib/firefox3.

Und was ist der Grund dass Videos von Youtube angesehen werden können, nicht aber von Myvideo (nur Interessehalber).

Üblicherweise kopiert man die Plugins nicht sondern macht Symlinks. Sonst musst du ja nach jedem Update neu kopieren.

Was Myvideo angeht, ich vermute da braucht man einfach ein neueres Flash-Plugin.

Habe das Verzeichnis /usr/local/lib/firefox/plugins, bzw. /usr/local/lib/firefox3/plugins durch einen Symlink (ln -s /usr/local/lib/browser_plugins /usr/local/lib/firefox/plugins, bzw. ln -s /usr/local/lib/browser_plugins /usr/local/lib/firefox3/plugins) ersetzt und jetzt funktioniert es auch im Firefox3.
