NetBSD 2.1 hängt sich auf!!

Hi

Habe hier ein NetBSD 2.1 auf ein P3 866 Mhz installiert 512MB Ram
Das System hängt sich dauernd auf, ich vermute das es am DMA liegt

manchmal kuendigen sich aber auch Plattendefekte auf diese Art und Weise an - in diesem Fall waere das die 30GB Seagate, die bei Dir am ersten IDE-Channel als Master haengt. Angaben wie immer ohne Gewaehr - bei mir sah es jedenfalls unter FreeBSD aehnlich aus, als sich meine 40GB IBM langsam aber sicher verabschiedet hat...

Ich hatte vorher ein 80gb Ibm Deskstar die hats sich dann verabschiedet , und die hat die gleichen Fehler verursacht.
Ich habe mal dma im bios für die 30gb abgeschaltet nun warte ich mal ab was passiert.

da Du ja offensichtlich Deinen FSB von 133 auf 150 MHz hochgesetzt hast, brauchst Du Dich nicht wundern, dass die Kiste instabil laeuft. Du solltest bedenken, dass Du nicht nur Deinen Prozessor, sondern auch Deinen PCI-Bus (auf dem ja der IDE-Controller laeuft) mit uebertaktest. Es sei denn, Du hast eines der richtig guten Boards, bei denen PCI und FSB asynchron laufen (was ich wohl weniger annehme). Nimm spasshalber mal Deinen FSB zurueck auf 133 MHz und teste nochmal. Wahrscheinlich ist Dein Problem dann damit behoben.
 
Oh Danke das könnte es wirklich sein. Aber das Problem ist das dieser Fehler auch wenn ich die CPU auf 866 MHz läuft auftritt.
Ich habe jetzt die 30 Gb platte ausgebaut und warte mal ab was passiert.

Ich habe die 30 gb Platte entfernt den Prozessor runtergetaktet (auf default) und wie es ausschaut rennt es jetzt.
