Hi, @ll,
mein prob is, ich bin von linux auf bsd umgestiegen, hab alles richtig instaliert usw. (x+gnome) und joah, mein sound funktnet,meine usb maus geht nicht usw.. also hier mal datalliert:

Sound:

funkt bei mir nicht, hab auchnoch nich viel rumgebaut, unter linux hats einfach mit alsa gefunzt... (hab arch vorher gehabt, archlinux)

Maus:

Hab ne Razer Copperhead, hab gehörtdie soll mit einem Patch laufen? Bei mirwird sie aber richtigals Copperead erkannt und auch geladen wenn ichse einstecke(wird in konsole angezeigt). Bloß irgendwie wills nich;-).

Benutzerrechte:

In gnome benitzt root keine rechte die gnome-system-tolls zu verwenden?!?!?! bei arch hieß die gruppe stb-admin. Wie kann ich das als normaler User machen?

, joah das wars im ganzen und großen, freebsd is einfach nur geil,deswegen will ich umsteigen(stabilität,performance,linux binary kompatibilität usw..), aber hardwarerkung; neenich so freebsd's typ, oder?

Hallo.
ad sound: snd_driver laden und schauen ob die Karte erkannt wird

ad maus: wie ist die konfigueriert? entsprechen xorg.conf-abschnitte, dmesg etc..

ad root: was genau willst du da machen? Du bist doch nicht als root in gnome angemeldet, oder? Um su machen zu dürfen muss dein normaler Nuter in der wheel-Gruppe sein... falls du das meinst...

Ansonsten hilft Satzstellung dem Leseverständnis!

Najaaaaa, alsa normale USB Mäuser funken ja, bloß net die Razer Copperhead. Ich meiene wegegem dem root dingsda, root hat kein zugriff auf grafische system tools!

Was hat die Maus mit irgendwelchen grafischen Tools zu tun?

Zeig uns doch mal dein dmesg mit der Maus. Das andere USB-Mäuse gehen hast du uns vorher nicht verraten. Was steht denn so in deiner rc.conf.

Studieren heißt eigentlich ein System kennenlernen. Ein System nach dem anderen zu testen fällt eher in die Kategorie probieren. Deine widersprüchliche Aussage führt in meinem Gehirn zu einer Deadlock-Situation.

Öhm, ich rede vielleicht hier nicht nur über die Maus?! ;-)
ne, ja,kommt drauf an eben welche maus es is, jede maus geht (konsole+xorg) ausserdie copperhead, obwohl sie sogar als maus erkannt wird..hab auch schon die in der rc.conf auf ums0 umgestellt. Geht trotzdem net.. naja

doppelpost muss ein xD:

ne hab jetz zum testen mal DesktopBSD raufgeschmissen, weils mir sehr viel arbeit mit meinen treibern und so abnimmt. Naja sound geht immer noch nicht. Wie gesagt, unter Linux gings mit den normalen ALSA treibern, unter BSD gibts das ja leider nicht. Ich bekomme wenn ich den Soundserver starte folgende meldung:

Hmm ja toll?! Sound wär aber ganz nett wenns ginge...

Dafür benutzt man patch.

Ich würde einfach auf RELENG_7 updaten wo der Patch bereits commitet wurde.

hmm kompare meint beim patchen: ----Die temporäre Datei kann nicht nach hochgeladen werden. Die temporäre Datei ist noch verfügbar unter /tmp/kde-at0m/kompareGwl6l1.tmp. Sie können diese Datei manuell an die richtige Stelle kopieren. ---- äh joah

Kleiner Tipp: Ich würde dir davon abraten jetzt wild irgendwelche Patches einzuspielen, sondern dich zuerst auf deine primären Probleme konzentrieren(Maus, Sound etc.). Antworten dadrauf findest du im Wiki, im Handbuch und zum Teil sicherlich auch hier im Forum. Du solltest außerdem nicht in "Linux-Kategorien" denken. FreeBSD ist kein Linux und funktioniert auch nicht genauso.

Es wäre mal schön wenn du auch schreibst was du tust, damit wir nachvollziehen können was für Probleme auftreten.

Ich habe keine Ahnung was Kompare ist und kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass es wirklich geeignet ist den Kernel zu patchen. Nimm einfach ein Terminal, damit kann jeder umgehen und dir Hilfestellung leisten.

Grafische Anwendungen kann man verwenden, wenn man weiß was sie tun und zur not auch selbst eingreifen kann.

Du musst den patch downloaden. Dann kopierst du ihn als root nach /usr/src. Dort führst du dann patch aus.

@ Styx: Wie ich soll keine patches einspielen? Den Patch brauche ich für die Maus damit sie funzt; da sie sonst als Tastatur erkannt wird....

@ Kamikaze: Wie ich soll schreiben was ich tue? Ich hab BSD installiert, verwende ganze Platte, Hab KDE draufgesetzt und versuche nun den Soundserver zu starten (mit snd_driver; also mit allen), was als tipp in der fbsd dokumentation stand. So der Soundserver startet nicht, und die Maus wird eben nicht erkannt...

Da ich ja noch nich so der pro bin, (mann kann ja nich alles wissen ^^), wie ist denn ganeu der befhel für die konsole um mit dem oben gannten patch die fatei ums.c zu patchen? (.diff)
