Problem smartmontools install

Hi Leute,

hab versucht auf meine fbsd 6.1 die smartmontools-5.36 zu installen weil ich so ne Meldung seit kurzem bekomme

g_vfs_done():twed0s1f.bde[WRITE(offset=277812690944, length=16384)]error = 5
Zum Vergrößern anklicken....

Das sind 2 Seagate 320 sata 2 Platten an nem 3ware 7006-2 Sata Controller.
Ärgerlich da 2 neue Platten.

Ok mein Problem ist das das ./configure durch läuft aber er beim make dann mit diesem Fehler hier stehen bleibt.

smartmontools - eine Einführung

Hallo,

bisher hatte ich mich für sysutils/smartmontools
irgendwie zu blöd angestellt,
aber ich habe gerade eine deutschsprachige Einleitung für
die smartmontools auf Deutsch -allerdings für Linux- entdeckt.

Also bitte nicht blind das Linux Device abtippen sondern bitte daran denken
das z.B. die erste ATA Festplatte so abgerufen wird:

und die erste SCSI Festplatte so

Ahhhh i hatte es runter geladen, ab und an in den ports nachzuschaun is doch sinnvoll :rolleyes:

Ich hoff nich das ich da was eintütln muss, der Controller zeigt keine Errors, nur des bsd selbst und da auch nur bei der bde partition, evtl verrechnet beim anlegen.

Bei beiden Platten zeigt er das hier an

Nein, kannst du nicht.

Mir ist die Tage ne Platte verstorben, die sogar nach
smartctl -t long
noch keine Fehler hatte. Das solltest du auch mal ausführen. Und den Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm folgen.

Meine war auch Seagate, auch erst einige hundert Betriebsstunden :(

nachdem twedxxx vom 3ware controller erzeugtes logisches Volumes ist, kann dieses eigentlich keinen vfs error erzeugen.

Da steckt eine GBDE Verschlüsselung drin. Wenn diese bei der Erstellung mit Hilfe eines angepassten Templates erstellt worden ist, könnte ggf. bei der Größenberechnung nen Fehler unterlaufen sein, der dem GBDE ne größere Dimension zeigt, als tatsächlich auf dem logischen Vol verfügbar.

Müßte jetzt in den GEOM code von GBDE nochmal nachsehen, aber denke das BDE beim überziehen nen geom error zurückmelden würde.

Daher, wohl oder übel nochmal alles rauskopieren, BDE neu anlegen und am besten gleich mit der "flush with random" (oder ähnlich) versehen.
