/dev/da ist SCSI oder SAS oder etwas, was als solches emuliert wird. Zum Beispiel USB fällt darunter. Dort brauchst du natürlich kein ATACAM, da SCSI/SAS schon ewig CAM nutzt. Du hast also schon alle Vorteile wie NCQ oder Hotpluging.

Das ist enttäuschend wenig. Kann man da nicht etwas dran machen?
 
Es ist deutlich mehr als normale Platten, oder? Der wirkliche Vorteil bei SSD sind doch die Seek-Times.
 
Nicht wirklich mehr. Eine 59 Euro Platte schafft auch 140MB/s. Und ein RAID-Verbund schafft das 4- bis 5-fache davon.

Ja, die Zugriffswerte sind völlig ok.
 
mein OCZ Vertex2 60GB macht:

outside: 102400 kbytes in 0.555616 sec = 184300 kbytes/sec
middle: 102400 kbytes in 0.659832 sec = 155191 kbytes/sec
inside: 102400 kbytes in 0.631027 sec = 162275 kbytes/sec

die ist aber auch erst wenige Monate alt.

Gar nicht mal so übel für ihr Alter, nicht wahr? Solche Transfer Raten wurden auch angezeigt, als sie neu war. :cool:
Diese Corsair Performance Series P128 SSD ist quasi eine umetikettierte Samsung SSD. Habe die Samsung SSD auch ohne Corsair Label, die tun sich nichts. Aber die Aufkleber sind anders gestaltet.

Es handelt sich um meinen kleinen Homeserver, System ist ein FreeBSD 9.2 quasi frisch aufgesetzt. Als Board dient ein Intel DN2800MT mit 8 GB Ram und 2x2,5" Platten als Datenhalde..
